I know there will be times when the cancer may come back again, but like the choppy waters and stiff winds I faced at my triathlons, I will be ready to “keep moving forward” to the best of my abilities.
It was time for me to make peace with who I really am—the good, the bad, and the ugly—and embrace it all. I needed to stop judging myself and start loving myself.
To me, challenges are opportunities and being prepared along with retaining a positive outlook are key.
