When I come home with a clear scan I am extremely grateful. I pass a message of hope to anyone presently fighting this battle.
I know there will be times when the cancer may come back again, but like the choppy waters and stiff winds I faced at my triathlons, I will be ready to “keep moving forward” to the best of my abilities.
My mission as a young survivor is to use my platform to educate as many folks as possible, and to help overcome some of the misconceptions surrounding this very preventable cancer.
